Colorado attorney named '2007 Economic Development Volunteer of the Year'

Maurina Paradise - 01 May 2008
Fairfield and Woods attorney honoured for commitment to Colorado economy

Robert J. Loew, a director of the real estate department at MSI's Colorado law firm member Fairfield and Woods PC, was named “2007 Economic Development Volunteer of the Year” by the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) at its state conference in Burlington, Colorado.  Loew was honored for his leadership in shaping public policy, taskforce leadership and membership development.

This award is periodically given by the EDCC to “an outstanding, ‘non-practicing economic development professional’ volunteer in Colorado who has demonstrated a multi-year commitment to the vitality, growth and sustainability of the Colorado economy.” Mr. Loew is also the board chairman of Adams County Economic Development.

Mr. Loew’s most recent example of leadership was his involvement in crafting the language for Senate Bill 08-158 which Governor Bill Ritter signed into law earlier in April.  The bill allows unincorporated land in a county to be included with contiguous municipal land in an urban renewal area.

The firm’s 13-member real estate department offers the fully array of legal services related to the acquisition, sale, development, financing and management of real estate.
