MSI's Costa Rican law firm member Soley Saborío & Asociados recently provided legal advice to SARPA, the first company in Colombia to receive all the required certifications for medical air transportation (aerial ambulance), on its expansion to Costa Rica in Central America.
Soley Saborío & Asociados advised the Colombia headquartered company on how to incorporate and structure its new subsidiary in Costa Rica. The firm's team of corporate lawyers and paralegals also provided counsel regarding the procurement of the required operating licenses.
The subsidiary (SARPA-CR) will provide high quality medical air transportation in Costa Rica, and becomes the first fully authorised entity to provide this service under the supervision of the country's local aviation authority (DGAC - Dirección General de Aviación Civil) after having complied with all the necessary regulations.
SARPA-CR was incorporated in Costa Rica in November 2008. SARPA also provides air ambulance medical services in countries including Colombia, Curacao, Surinam, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru and Panama.
SARPA-CR places Costa Rica at the forefront of aerial medical rescue and ensures the country has planes and helicopters that are equipped with the latest technologies for the monitoring and treatment of patients.
