Seminar aimed at foreign buyers of U.S. real estate offered by NYC law firm's estate planning team

Sheryl Miller - 01 April 2008
Wealth preservation team will provide information on income and estate tax issues

Moses & Singer, MSI's New York City law firm member, is offering a breakfast seminar on Thursday 24 April aimed at New York commercial and residential real estate brokers who work with foreign clients.

Devaluation of the U.S. dollar has created real estate investment opportunities for foreign nationals, specifically in New York City. However, understanding U.S. tax laws before purchasing real estate may lead to significant savings for foreign clients down the road. This program is especially designed for commercial and residential real estate brokers working with foreign clients. It will provide essential information to how clients can avoid unnecessary liability from U.S. and New York State income and estate taxes when purchasing or selling U.S. real estate, thus enabling investments to be maximised.

The seminar takes place from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at the offices of Moses & Singer LLP, 12th Floor, 405 Lexington Avenue, New York City.

8:00 am - 8:15 am - Registration
8:15 am - 8:30 am- Breakfast
8:30 am - 9:15 am - Program
9:15 am - 9:30 am - Q&A

The seminar will be led by Gideon Rothschild, Co-Chair of Moses & Singer's Trusts and Estates and Wealth Preservation group, and Daniel Rubin, a partner in the team.

There is no fee for this program. Seating is limited, so please RSVP by Thursday, April 17, 2008, to Sheryl K. Miller at +1 212.554.7583 or smiller@mosessinger.com.
