Jataayu Software Ltd's overseas tax and accounting requirements coordinated by MSI members

Giles Brake - 24 June 2009
Members in China, UK and India demonstrate joint capabilities to Indian multinational

Delhi accounting firm member JC Bhalla & Co (JCB) was recently appointed as the statutory branch auditors of Jataayu Software Ltd, a company owned by the Bharti Group, one of India's leading business groups with interests in the telecoms, retail, manufacturing, agri business and financial services sectors.

Part of the firm's responsibility was to report on the statutory, tax, regulatory implications, internal controls and accounting issues faced by the company's overseas branches. JCB decided to "co-source" the work to MSI accounting members in countries where these branches are located.

Partner Akhil Bhalla reports: "These assignments were handled very effectively by the accounting members in London (haysmacintyre), Beijing (LehmanBrown) and through a contact of the Secretariat in Taiwan. As a result, we were able to demonstrate our ability to provide quick and reliable service to our client.
