MSI Global Alliance is delighted to announce that leading, independent law firm Mattos Muriel Kestener Advogados has been appointed as the international association's sole law firm member in Brazil.
Founded in 2005, Mattos Muriel Kestener Advogados is a fast-growing, 11-partner firm that has a further 54 lawyers in offices in Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro.
The firm is able to offer a full range of commercial legal services and is particularly noted for its expertise in matters related to product liability, litigation, arbitration, antitrust, corporate/M&A, tax (consulting and litigation), labour and employment, environmental, infrastructure and real estate.
Many of our Latin American members will have met the firm's tax partner Ms. Creuza de Abreu Vieira Coelho in the past who served as the previous Brazil law member's international contact partner.
MSI's Chief Executive James Mendelssohn comments: "This appointment is hugely significant to MSI’s Latin American strategy of providing a real alternative to the larger, international firms for entrepreneurial companies.
“Following a meticulous due diligence process, Mattos Muriel Kestener Advogados is now the sole representative member firm for MSI Global Alliance in Brazil. Their appointment follows the admission of similarly high calibre law firms in the last two years in Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua and gives MSI a strong presence in the region. We now look forward to appointing additional, strong, local firms in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay and Venezuela.”
This latest appointment extends MSI’s membership to 245 member firms in 102 countries throughout the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa regions.
An official press release will follow soon.
