MSI is delighted to announce the admission of Pennsylvania law firm Kaplin Stewart Meloff Reiter & Stein (www.kaplaw.com) to its international association of independent legal and accounting firms. The appointment increases the number of MSI’s carefully selected law firm members to 26 across 31 offices in the U.S.
Describing itself as able to “combine the depth and sophistication of a large business law firm with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a small one,” Kaplin Stewart is in good company among MSI’s member firms who are of similar size and espouse similar values.
Kaplin Stewart is a full service law firm, with around 50 lawyers, and a total staff of 80 people. Its three offices are located throughout Pennsylvania, with its main Blue Bell, PA, office located on a business park close to Philadelphia.
While the firm has a strong niche in real estate and construction, it offers a diverse group of small businesses, real estate developers, mid sized regional companies and Fortune 500 companies access to legal services including: real estate, business and financing transactions; construction and surety; corporate law and business planning; employment law for employers; real estate and title litigation; healthcare law; tax; land use zoning and development; environmental law; litigation; estate administration and planning; mediation and arbitration; mergers and acquisitions; and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.
The appointment of Kaplin Stewart strengthens MSI’s law firm presence in the U.S. and follows the appointments earlier in 2008 of San Francisco firm Collette Erickson Farmer & O’Neill, St Louis firm Danna McKitrick, Orlando firm Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe, Idaho firm Zarian Midgley & Johnson, and Atlanta firm Smith Moore Leatherwood.
The firm is well known to Philadelphia accounting member Altenburger Uris Caglioti & Heyman, and we are extremely grateful for the referral.
