Based on its experience in assurance and audit services, MSI’s Mumbai accounting firm member, Chokshi & Chokshi, has been appointed as auditor to MELSONS GROUP - RUSSIA. The firm will audit the company's financial statements in accordance with international auditing standards, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
Melsons Group started its operations in Nigeria and has spread its operations to Ghana, Russia and the United Kingdom. Over the years the group has built itself into a truly global company with core competence in manufacturing and distribution.
Melsons Group in Russia has interests mainly in the distribution of cosmetics and food products. The group has its own brands, namely Mel Foods International, Mel Cosmetics International and Mel Sports International.
“This is one of the most prestigious assignments taken on by Chokshi & Chokshi. It will enable our firm to further develop and share its expertise within this industry with other MSI members. Indian members are in for exciting times,” says Mitl Chokshi, managing partner of the firm.
