As of 1st August 2008, Russell Chiu has joined the Corporate and Commercial Department of MSI's Hong Kong law firm member, ONC lawyers as a consultant.
Russell has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, having handled high-profile IPOs and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has advised multi-national corporations, Hong Kong listed companies and investment funds on direct investments in China. He has also advised securities companies on securities law and regulatory matters.
Russell received training in one of Hong Kong's largest law firms. After qualification, he practised as a litigation lawyer in a London city firm. He went on to practice in corporate finance and corporate commercial, and has worked in several leading international and local commercial practices. Chiu has also worked as an in-house counsel in the securities arm of a leading global banking group.
