MSI's Durban law firm member, Woodhead Bigby & Irving, has received a certificate from a representative of the Department of Trade and Industry relating to matters of Transformation and Black Economic Empowerment within Woodhead Bigby & Irving Inc.

This certificate is issued by Impumelelo, an independent rating agency (sanctioned by the DTI) monitoring matters of Transformation. Woodhead Bigby & Irving Inc. is proud to have been once more acknowledged as being among the Top 100 Emerging Empowerment Companies in South Africa as a result of its contribution to attaining the national goals of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment.
Woodhead Bigby & Irving Inc. continues to strive for and has made significant advances in transforming. It was also rated by another Independent Rating Agency, EmpowerDEX, with an ‘AAA’ Level 2 Contribution rating in 2007.
Particularly significant about these awards is that, with the arrival of the Legal Services Charter which has been signed off by the profession, Woodhead Bigby & Irving Inc. is some years ahead of the minimum requirement of this charter in South Africa as it relates to matters of Transformation and Empowerment.
