The inaugural meeting of the UK & Ireland Managing Partners Forum was recently held at the offices of haysmacintyre in London and brought together representatives from each of the UK law and accounting member firms.
The group brings together a diverse group of professionals who run their respective firms in different ways, but face a number of similar challenges. The UK & Ireland MPF provides a useful forum for discussion as well as a good opportunity to develop closer relationships across the UK and Ireland.
The subjects covered ranged from dealing with partner attitudes to change, profit allocation between partners, and mergers and acquisitions (not between our member firms!).
The group has aleady set up its own online group on MSI's new communty site MemberLink (www.msiglobal.org/memberlink) and will meet again on 16 June 2009.
