Overview
Christopher Leong joined Chooi & Company as an Associate in 1990, and has been a partner in the Litigation/Dispute Resolution Department of Chooi & Company since 1996. Christopher has experience in a broad range of commercial litigation with particular emphasis on corporate law disputes. This involves pre-litigation advisory services as well as appearing as counsel in the High Court of Malaya and in the appellate courts of Malaysia, namely, the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court. His experience also include arbitrations under ICC and UNCITRAL.
Christopher also practices in the area of administrative and constitutional law, and has appeared as counsel in several public interest cases.
Christopher has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics & Philosophy) from Monash University. He read law at the University of Nottingham and was called to the Bar of England & Wales as an Utter Barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 1989. Christopher was enrolled and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1990.
