Dirk studied law in Osnabrück. He completed postgraduate studies with a Master`s degree in taxation. In October 2002 he finished his thesis on a Tax and Company Law matter (“Joint undertakings in the building industry”) with distinction. He was admitted to the bar in 2004. After working as a Senior Associate for one of the Big Four auditing fims, he became a partner with Ahlers & Vogel in 2008.
