Overview
Hatmuth studied law in Hamburg, Lausanne, Bonn and Berlin. He was admitted to the bar in 1993. He gained international experience whilst working for the Foreign Office at the German embassy in Washington D.C. and for a law firm in Auckland, New Zealand.
His special interest is ship building, Marine Insurance Law (P&I, H&M, FD&D) and the problems arising from charter contracts.
As a member of and arbitrator in the German Maritime Arbitration Association, he also has many years of experience in arbitration proceedings.
