Overview
Since joining Adelberg, Rudow, Jerald Lurie has concentrated his practice in the areas of business, real estate, employment, intellectual property, healthcare and tax law. He currently chairs the firm's Business Section.
Jerald is a Past President of The Bar Association of Baltimore City. He is also a Past Chairperson and current member of the Business Law Section Council, Maryland State Bar Association. He is the Immediate Past Chairperson of the Maryland State Board of Pilots and the Immediate Past President of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, Maryland's largest and oldest pro bono service provider.
Jerald has served as a faculty member of Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers (MICPEL) and is past member of its Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Peer Review Committee of the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland and he is a prior Secretary of the Maryland Board of Professional Engineers.
Having attained his J.D. with honours from the University of Maryland, Jerald was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1973. Jerald was also a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif.
Jerald has attained several awards for his practice including the 2008 Maryland State Bar Association Distinguished Service Award. In 2007, Jerald was honoured as a member of the Baltimore Legal Elite by SmartCEO Magazine. In the same year, he was recognised as a Maryland Super Lawyer, an honour given to the top 5% of lawyers in Maryland by Baltimore Magazine. Jerald was also a listed in the 2007 Marquis Who’s Who in American Law publication. Jerald’s dedication and contribution to his work was recognised in 2006 by the The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law award.
Jerald and his wife, Eve, have resided in Baltimore County, Maryland for many years where they raised their two grown sons.
