Overview
Educated in Law (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona), Business Administration (IESE Business School, EADA Business School), Taxation (EADA Business School) and Auditing (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona + Col.legi de Censors Jurats de Catalunya).$0$0$0$0In order to succeed in M&A and Corporate Finance (Jordi's specialities), it has been very useful being first a business and corporate lawyer and having been educated in business management, auditing and taxation. It's an interesting combination that allows a wide vision of the M&A process, from one end to the other, and a high degree of efficiency. This wide multidisciplinary education, combined with a long professional experience in several roles and sectors, definitely helps in making M&A deals correctly structured and closed. From the early 1990s, Jordi has advised on a number of M&A deals, either as a lawyer or M&A adviser, with a significant part of them involving more than one jurisdiction (international or transnational deals). From 2005 and up until 2008, Jordi was the Barcelona Capital Partner at ONEtoONE Capital Partners, one of the biggest M&A firms in Spain, with offices in over 20 cities. He also serves as a member of several Boards of Directors and/or advisory boards of companies in different sectors (infrastructure / ports, publishing, events, consultancy, HR, leisure). After being an associate professor at several educational institutions, Jordi is currently Associate Professor of Finance at EADA Business School. He teaches on the Corporate Finance Program, the Master in Finance and the Executive MBA (private equity, company valuation and legal aspects of a M&A deal, M&A at work), apart from several M&A focused seminars and short courses.$0$0
