Overview

Joshua Zakheim, counsel to Moses & Singer, joined the firm's Banking and Finance practice in 2001. Mr. Zakheim has had many years of varied experience in domestic and international finance, including interim and permanent financings, securitization projects, restructurings and workouts and warehousing and loan packaging, with significant expertise in the fields of communications, real estate and construction related projects. He has practiced both in New York and Israel, a country with a common law-based legal system, at major law firms and in the in-house legal departments of major financial institutions. He has also worked in close consultation with foreign local counsel on significant projects subject to civil law and other legal traditions and to international agreements.

Some recent transactions Mr. Zakheim has worked on include letter of credit support for a municipal bond financing in the Midwest, a $650MM project financing for an Israeli cellular telephone provider, the structuring of the financing and collateral package for an Israeli communications satellite and several construction projects in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Mr. Zakheim is licensed to practice law both in New York and Israel and speaks fluent Hebrew.
