Profile

Kent Ferguson joined Avery Cooper in Yellowknife in 1985. He managed the Iqaluit office from 1986 - 1988 before relocating to New Zealand for three years. Kent returned to the firm in 1991 and became Review Partner in 1993. Kent retired in 2008 but continues to provide professional services on a part-time basis.

Overview

In addition to ongoing responsibilities as Review Partner and lead auditor on a wide variety of organizations across the north, Kent was responsible for the development and delivery of a number of financial courses for Senior Administrative Officers and hamlet and housing finance officers in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. 

He also attained his designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner in 1997. 

In 2001, Kent was awarded the FCGA designation, an honour conferred on Certified General Accountants who have made a significant contribution to the profession and the community.
