Overview
Lauren A. Rieders joined Moses & Singer as an associate in 2011 after working as a summer associate in 2010. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Labor, Employment, & Employee Benefits practice groups. Lauren has experience in commercial litigation, securities and shareholders rights litigation, intellectual property and employment law.
Lauren graduated cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law with a concentration in Civil Litigation and an award for excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She served as an editor of the Hofstra Law Review where her note, “Old Principles, New Technology, and the Future of Notice in Newspapers” was published.
As a member of the Securities Arbitration Clinic at Hofstra Law, Lauren represented investors in FINRA arbitrations involving unsuitability and misrepresentation claims. Lauren was the co-founder and co-president of the Hofstra Law Dispute Resolution Society. She competed in the St. John’s/FINRA Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon, where she acted as counsel for an investor in the negotiation, mediation, and arbitration of a simulated securities dispute.
Lauren participated in the Non-Partisan Election Day Project at the Nassau County Supreme Court, where under attorney supervision, she argued for the rights of certain individuals to cast ballots in the November 2010 election. She also interned for Federal Magistrate Judge William D. Wall of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Lauren currently serves on the student/faculty support committee of the Lehigh Lawyers Association.
