Overview

Marc Noren joined Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler in 1996 as an associate with his area of practice focusing on family law and general civil litigation. He is also the firm's Hiring Member and Pro Bono Coordinator.

Marc is the Immediate Past Chair of the Family & Juvenile Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. He ascended to the chair's position after serving two appointed terms and directed its legislative efforts for many years. He is also a current member and past co-chair of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the American Bar Association, the Baltimore County Bar Association and its Family Law Committee.

Marc was selected as one of Baltimore's Top Lawyers of the Next Generation in the April 2003 issue of Baltimore Magazine. He is one of twenty lawyers chosen and the only family law lawyer to be honoured. Marc was also recognised as a Maryland Super Lawyer by Baltimore Magazine in 2007 and once again in 2009 for his dedication and commitment to his practice of family law.

Marc was the long-time department head in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and served as that court's first Civil Case Coordinator. He was a co-author of the first case management plan for family law cases and was on the implementation committee for differentiated case management for both civil and family law cases. He is also a frequent lecturer for continuing legal education and other professional organizations including the Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.

He served as a consultant to several state-wide committees that studied the feasibility of creating a Family Court in Maryland and has also served on several committees that studied and reported on ways to increase access to Maryland courts for low income persons and families. Additionally, Marc is a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation.

Marc attained his J.D. from the University of Baltimore in 1994 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1995.
