Overview
After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Ralph studied law in Kiel where he received his doctorate. Parallel to this, he worked as an academic assistant in the law faculty.
Ralph was admitted to the bar in 1994 and has been a partner of Ahlers & Vogel since 1997. Originating from a family of physicians, he specialises in the Law of Medicine, and primarily advises medical practitioners and several large hospitals, private clinic operators and third-party risk insurers. He also advises physicians in private practice with regard to all legal matters arising in connection with the exercise of their profession. Apart from this he deals with issues relating to Competition Law.
Amongst other appointments, Ralph is a member of the management board of the Hanseatic Bar Association in Bremen and the Clinical Ethics Committee at the Hospital Bremen Centre (Klinisches Ethikkomitee am Klinikum Bremen Mitte).
