Richard heads the Commercial Litigation Department at Harrison Clark, providing a full range of litigation advice and representation to a clientele including IT and telecoms companies, computer and game manufacturers and resellers, engineers, property developers and agents, logistics and service providers and professional partnerships.

Overview

Richard was appointed a Deputy District Judge (High Court and County Court) in 2001, and works part time as a Civil Court Judge in Birmingham. He has lectured on contract law for Worcester Law School, in recognition of which he was made an Honorary Fellow of Staffordshire University in 2004. He is also an accredited mediator with ADR Group.

The department have dealt with a significant number of cross border cases involving parties, lawyers and Courts in a number of international jurisdictions, including USA, Canada, Scotland, Ireland, France, Holland, Australia, China and Hong King.

The department are regular users of the MSI referral network and have worked with MSI members in all of the above jurisdictions.
