Ross C. McCutcheon has been the managing partner of Maitland & Company since its establisment in late 1976. He maintains a diverse solicitors' practice which emphasizes business law, real estate  and trust, estate, and asset planning and administration.

He has served as a director, senior officer or advisor to a wide variety of companies involved in real estate development and construction, high technology, resource development and exploration, recycling, food processing, distribution and sales, forestry and heavy construction, ocean farming and harvesting and several areas within the manufacturing sector. Much of his practice involves international or trans-border issues. Ross has also counseled a number of professionals on firm management and dispute resolution issues.  Ross is currently a director of Americas Petrogas Inc., an Alberta company active in petroleum exploration and production in Argentina and development of a potash deposit in Northeastern Peru.  He is also a director of several companies engaged in mineral exploration or development in Peru, Canada, and the U.S.
