Overview
Sandhya M. Feltes is a principal of the firm and member of the Construction & Surety Law and Commercial Litigation Departments. Ms. Feltes handles a variety of construction and suretyship disputes including the litigation of performance and payment bond claims; claims under the federal and state Miller Acts; the enforcement of rights and remedies under indemnity agreements; the negotiation and drafting of completion and takeover agreements; providing counsel and advice to surety companies and contractors in drafting agreements; and handling a wide range of complex bond claim and indemnity issues.
Ms. Feltes also focuses her practice on bank litigation and creditors' rights. She represents lenders, national and state chartered banks, mortgage bankers and mortgage brokers in lender liability claims, including claims under TILA, HOEPA, ECOA and the UDAP. She has entensive experience in Bankruptcy litigation to enforce the rights of lenders as secured or unsecured creditors.
Active as a speaker on legal topics, Ms. Feltes has presented seminars on a variety of topics, including Pennsylvania surety bond law, construction warranties, hearsay, trying an arbitration case, motion practice and deposing fact witnesses.
