Parallel to her legal studies she worked at a major German bank within a student advancement scheme and, thereafter, at the Institute for Labour and Commercial Law of the University of Cologne, where she received her doctorate for a thesis relating to Labour Law.

Sylvie joined Ahlers & Vogel in 2003 and, being a bar-certified specialist in Labour Law, mainly advises corporate clients. In addition, she deals with cases regarding government liability.
