MSI's 22nd International Conference Attracts Over 100 Delegates from 34 Countries
Meeting held in Hong Kong hailed a great success
With over 100 delegates from 34 countries MSI Global Alliance's
22nd International Conference held recently in Hong Kong was deemed
to be a great success by all those attending.
A strong agenda gave the delegates plenty to think about, and with
a varied and extensive social programme, there were also ample
opportunities for delegates to build their professional networks
too.
For many, the highlight of the conference agenda was the keynote
address given by Cheah Cheng Hye, the chairman of
Value
Partners. His insights into the Chinese markets, and the
impact of the recent volatility on world markets as a whole, was
described by one delegate as 'the most interesting presentation
that he had ever heard at a MSI conference'.
The formal conference dinner, held this year on the top floor of
the Hutong Building, with spectacular views across the harbour to
Hong Kong island, was another highlight.
But for MSI Chief Executive James Mendelssohn, something that stood
out particularly strongly this year was the very real sense of
cooperation and mutual support amongst the delegates. "There
is no doubt that member firms are working together more and more,
and they see the annual conference as an ideal opportunity to meet
up with people who they have worked with in the past … or would
like to work with in the future."
Next year, the conference will be held in Santa
Monica, California. Plans are already well advanced - so here
are the dates for your diary : 20 - 23 October 2012.
