Lawyers Online Continues for 2012

In October 2011 MSI Global Alliance’s Northern UK law firm member Burnetts became the first firm of solicitors in Cumbria to deliver free online webinars. Due to the popularity of these sessions, the Carlisle firm has announced their online events programme for the year ahead.

Webinars are online seminars or ‘web-seminars’ hosted and delivered live and direct  to your computer desktop.  Attendees can view the contents of the presentation on their screens and listen to the audio on their computer speakers, or using their telephone handset. The webinar format allows attendees to ask questions and give feedback through interactive live polls.

The next session of 2012 will be held on Tuesday 24 April. This free session, hosted by expert solicitors at Burnetts, aims to help businesses avoid being the subject of an inspection, as well as examining what you should be doing if an inspection looms and how to minimise the time and stress such inspections consume.

In particular the event will cover:

• Inspection powers
• Powers to service notices/ fees for intervention
• Enforcement powers
• Restrictive covenants

Each webinar lasts around 1 hour and is specifically scheduled over the lunch hour to fit into the working day of busy professionals. Presenting online means factors such as travel time and cost for attendees are eliminated and although the webinars are held as live events, each session is recorded so anyone who isn’t available during the event can review it at a later time on our website.’
