ARD&H’s Thomas Kohn to Speak at American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry

Maryland Law Firm’s Member to be a featured Speaker at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s 65th Annual Session

MSI Global Alliance’s Maryland law firm Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, (ARD&H) Member Thomas D. Kohn will be a featured speaker at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s 65^th Annual Session, occurring May 24-27 in San Diego.

Kohn will team with a dentist and dental practice manager for the panel discussion, 'New Dentist Program: Private Practice – What You Didn’t Learn During Your Residency.' Teaching 'the ins and outs of starting a private practice,' the presentation will cover the following topics:

-     managing people (and learning to deal with senior staff),
-     hiring and firing,
-     maintaining appropriate relationships in your office
-     negotiating a contract and getting the right salary, and
-     marketing your practice through public relations.

With over 25 years legal experience, Kohn devotes a significant portion of his practice to working with private health care providers, specifically dentists, orthodontists and other specialists, to develop fair and efficient strategies for profitable creation, operation, management and sale of professional practices.

Kohn earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude. A Baltimore native, Kohn resides in Lutherville with his wife, Shari, a pediatric dentist, and their children, Rachel and A.J.
