London Accountants haysmacintyre Also Appoint New Partner to Expanding Schools & Education Team

MSI Global Alliance’s London accounting firm member haysmacintyre are pleased to announce the admission to the partnership of two new partners. Mark Allwood and Nick Jordan are both part of the haysmacintyre tax team, specialising in corporate tax. Their appointments to partner are part of a wider initiative to enhance the firm’s tax offering.

Allwood has been with the firm since 2003, joining from Baker Tilly. He provides a range of tax solutions to haysmacintyre’s varied client base with a particular focus on employee intensive sectors such as creative, media and technology and hospitality as well as working with entrepreneurs.

Jordan joined one of the predecessor firms of haysmacintyre, Hays Allan, in 1998 where he trained and qualified in the audit division before moving into the tax team and qualifying with the CIOT. He specialises in corporate tax and will predominantly work with the firm’s real estate team. Simon Wilks, managing partner, commented: “we are delighted to promote two of the senior members of the tax team and believe that the appointments will strengthen our expertise in advising entrepreneurial businesses. Their promotion from within is a clear signal that we recognise and reward outstanding performance from those that we have recruited and trained.”

haysmacintyre has also recently appointed Sam Coutinho as a new partner in the schools and education team. Sam was formerly a partner at Crowe Clark Whitehill and prior to that trained at Littlejohn. Sam has provided audit and advisory services to many independent schools and charities over the last sixteen years and worked closely with a number of key sector governing bodies.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Partner, Simon Wilks, says “The addition of Sam as part of our award winning charities and not for profit team demonstrates our commitment to the sector. Her specialist schools and education experience will be of great benefit to the team and help us to build on our success”. Sam says: “It was important to me to that the core values of the firm I joined were aligned with my own and I am delighted to now be part of the haysmacintyre team. Whilst I am an audit partner I am extremely excited about the opportunity to develop the firm’s wider service offering particularly its governance, risk and leadership training programme.”

Sam’s appointment, together with the two internal partner promotions in the tax division brings the number of partners to 26, with some 160 staff and places the firm as one of the leading independent professional services firms in the UK.
