Donal Watkin Joins MSI Global Alliance Secretariat as CEO Designate

Donal Watkin has recently joined MSI's Secretariat as the Chief Executive Designate. He will take over the role of CEO from James Mendelssohn at the end of the year when James takes on the part-time position of Chairman.

Donal, who was previously the Deputy Executive Director of Nexia International, has a strong background of working within membership organisations, particularly in the professional services sector, and is excited about his move to MSI. "I have been very aware of MSI in recent years, and have been very impressed with some of the innovative ideas that have emerged. It is therefore a great challenge – and a very exciting one – to be joining the team now as MSI looks to the next stage of its development".

James and Donal will be working closely together over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition, and James is already encouraged by the way that the handover is beginning to take shape. He commented: "Donal and I have a very similar approach to member relations – and he has a number of new ideas too that we will be considering in more detail once he has got to know the group and its members better".

Donal will be attending MSI's International Conference in Santa Monica in October and is looking forward to meeting many of you there.
