MSI's law member Smith Moore Leatherwood is pleased to announce that Kenton J. Coppage of the firm's Atlanta office has been elected to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
The Foundation is an honorary organisation of attorneys, judges and law professors whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. Membership is limited to less than one percent of U.S. lawyers. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.
Coppage’s practice is concentrated in life, health and disability insurance litigation and employee benefits litigation under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). He serves as Chair of the Life Insurance Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Coppage received his bachelor’s degree from University of Georgia, summa cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from the University Georgia School of Law, cum laude.
With seven offices and more than 175 attorneys across North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, the firm’s core practice areas are focused on litigation, corporate law, health care, real estate, and labor and employment.
