New Hires at Myerson Solicitors

16th February 2021

MSI's Northern UK law member Myerson Solicitors is bucking the economic downturn with four new hires to meet growing client demand.

Following a record year in 2020, when Myerson added 20 new people to its team, the firm is preparing for 2021 by bringing in four additional colleagues to its real estate, contentious probate and commercial teams.

Joining the real estate group are Emily Roberts and Hassan Shah. Emily joins Myerson as an Associate and will bring profound experience from her time as a Commercial Property Solicitor at JMW. Hassan – who will be a Residential Property Solicitor – makes the move from Khan Mathers where he has developed a wealth of experience over the past two years. Katie Hayes qualified as a Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor in 2018, gaining experience at Tees Law before moving to Myerson.

Myerson’s fourth new hire, into the role of Commercial Solicitor, is recently qualified Nasima Khatun who completed her training contract at Gateley Legal.

With Myerson continuing its business growth, maintaining the right culture is key for both the firm’s customers and its employees. As with all new hires, Myerson’s latest recruits were hired in line with the company’s cultural values. This approach ensures that every team member has the right skills and behaviours to build the long-term client relationships Myerson is renowned for. And it creates a collaborative culture where innovative people can do their best work, have fun and feel part of an inclusive and supportive team.

Myerson’s CEO, Carl Newton, says: “It’s been brilliant to create new jobs in these tough economic times and to welcome new colleagues to our team. With everyone working remotely, we’re doing all we can to continue to live our values through employee support campaigns like Myerson ‘Bee’ Well. This internal support programme provides practical tips to help our employees improve their mental health and wellbeing, including free podcasts, relaxation techniques, PT and Yoga classes, links to support sites as well as providing our employees with a Wellness Day. To encourage colleagues to take an extra day off to relax, refresh and recharge, without the need to book annual leave. I am personally thrilled our new team members will be joining us, to help adapt and generate creative ideas to support one another and our clients at this unusual time”.
