Patent and intellectual property attorney joins Espinosa Martinez PL

Florida Board Certified Patent and Intellectual Property attorney Pablo Meles has joined MSI's Florida law member Espinosa Martinez, P.L. as Of Counsel. The intellectual property boutique firm focuses in patent, trademark, copyright and other intellectual property litigation and prosecution.

Meles’ experience features transactional work on a global level and the filing and prosecuting of well over 1,000 patent and trademark applications, serving as IP Counsel for numerous clients from start-ups to public companies and representing clients from various industries including consumer, high-tech product or service companies such as Motorola, IBM, AT&T, RIM, XM Satellite Radio, Xilinx, Medtronic, TSMC, Steiner Leisure, Gurkha Cigar Group, Minto and Miami Dolphins.  Meles is adept at drafting and negotiating IP related agreements including, Joint Development Agreements, Software Development Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Licensing Agreements, and Assignments; creating significant value in obtaining broad claims used offensively and defensively; and identifying patentable subject matter and registerable brands.

Florida Board Certified in Intellectual Property, AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell, and a Patent Co-Inventor, Meles is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and admitted in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He holds a J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami.

Active in the community, Pablo is a Board Member of the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation and the University of Miami College of Engineering. He is an avid marathoner, bicyclist and fundraiser for numerous charities supporting children’s health issues including Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
