2nd December 2016
Taylor Porter (Baton Rouge, Louisiana)
MSI’s Louisiana law member Taylor Porter's Managing Partner Skip Philips was interviewed by A.M. Baton Rouge radio show on Talk 107.3FM where he discussed the history of Veterans Day.
Philips discussed the history of Veterans Day – Originally Armistice Day, it recognised the date “The War To End All Wars” ended – and now we take this day to honour all veterans: Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and Marine Corps.
Philips is a retired Major General in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was last assigned as Commanding General, 377th Theater Sustainment Command in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he commanded more than 30,000 Army Reserve soldiers in the United States. He is the Army Reserve Ambassador for Louisiana.
Taylor Porter celebrated Veterans Day with a special firm luncheon. Taylor Porter employee Mandy Hamilton, a member of the Baton Rouge Pipes and Drums, played the bagpipes for attorneys and staff out on the terrace. You can watch Mandy’s beautiful Veterans Day tribute and performance on Taylor Porter’s Facebook page
