MSI Global Alliance appoints Director of Member Development (Americas)

We are delighted to announce that, from 1 May 2019, MSI will have a Director of Member Development for the Americas Region. Tim O’Toole will be working in the USA for MSI on the basis of a fixed 6-month project in order to advise the MSI Board on how we might better support our member firms in the Americas region.

We are delighted to announce that Tim O’Toole will be joining the MSI Global Alliance Secretariat team as Director of Member Development (Americas).

Tim O’Toole might be well known to many of you as a former MSI Area Representative (USA) and former partner at MSI member firm Vestal & Wiler, CPAs in Orlando before he left to set up his own consultancy in 2017.

Starting on 1 May 2019 and based out of the USA, Tim O’Toole will be working with MSI on the basis of a fixed 6-month project in order to advise the MSI Board on how MSI might better support our member firms in the Americas region.

His duties at MSI will be varied with the overarching goal of providing both the North American and Latin American members with more access to the offerings of MSI.  He will seek to:

  • improve communication between both members (member to member) and the Secretariat (MSI and members, including Area Representatives)
  • assist in the development and organisation of the June 2019 Chicago Conference and the January 2020 Conference to increase attendance of member firms
  • foster more communication to attract firms who may have been, to date, less active in MSI
  • develop a mechanism to better document the abilities and expertise of member firms and their professionals
  • participate with and further energise MSI Specialist Interest Groups
  • develop tools to allow member firms to better collaborate and increase revenue from current clients, attract new work/revenue, encouraging firms to offer services to better, larger clients they might not otherwise be able to serve
  • identify high quality firms in key market areas, to recruit as new members of MSI

We look forward to welcoming Tim O’Toole to the team and his support in achieving MSI’s vision for improved member collaboration and growth across the Americas.
