Founder, Firm Academy
Phil Gott specialises in helping law and accountancy firms get the very best performance from their partners and staff using leading-edge development techniques, appraisal processes, coaching and training.
Phil is the founder of Firm Academy (www.firmacademy.com), an innovative on-line and mobile learning resource for law and accountancy firms. He also manages the LinkedIn group The Learning & Development Revolution for Law Firms to help firms capitalise on the changes taking place in training and learning.
Phil’s clients include ‘magic circle’ law firms, international firms, niche practices, regional and single-office accountancy and law firms both in the UK and internationally. His clients include two MSI member firms.
Phil is a founder member of the Professional Speakers Association and has been voted Trainer of the Year by the Legal Education & Training Group.
Phil authored Managing People in a Law Firm in The Law Society’s Practice Management Handbook. He has also written a White Paper on Talent Management in professional service firms. Articles have been published in Professional Marketing, The Law Society Gazette, Solicitors Journal, Accountancy, and Accountancy SA. Phil has authored an ARK research report on Learning & Development in Law firms.
Before forming his own consultancy, Phil was UK Head of general practice marketing and Head of Business Training for one of the major accountancy firms. He is a business graduate and chartered accountant.
