ALL CPAs principal honored as '2019 MSCPA Woman to Watch'

MSI's Massachusetts accounting member ALL CPAs is excited to announce Laura O’Brien, CPA, MST was honored as a 2019 Woman to Watch by the Massachusetts Society of CPAs at their 2019 Women’s Leadership Summit on October 24, 2019 at the Marriott Boston Long Wharf.

These prestigious awards honor women who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession, their organizations, community, and in the development of women as leaders. Laura was recognized in the Experienced Leader category. Since joining ALL CPAs in 1993, Laura has built a strong client base servicing the accounting and tax needs of individuals and privately held businesses. Her focus has given her a major role in clients’ wealth management and her clients include businesses in a broad range of industries including service, medicine, education, investment, and real estate. Laura has introduced and implemented new programs at ALL including being the architect of the firm’s career development guide and launching the alternative work arrangement program.  She is passionate about preparing the next generation of leaders at the firm and plays an active role in mentoring younger staff and advocating their accomplishments to firm management. She also has developed and led professional training programs for staff including piloting the Learning Paths Program and co-chairing the training committee. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Laura for over twenty-five years. I’ve seen firsthand daily the positive impact Laura’s hard work, dedication, professionalism, and empathy has had on her clients, colleagues, the firm, and especially younger staff, “said Ron Loberfeld, CPA, managing partner of ALL CPAs. She leads by example with her strong work ethic, positive energy, industry accomplishments, and commitment to excellence for her clients. She also strives to constantly make improvements at ALL, including implementing the very popular Dress for Your Day policy. She has the confidence of both the staff and the partners, making her a trusted leader at all levels of the firm. A Brookline resident, Laura has been an active volunteer in innumerable children’s school and sports programs, including serving on the board of the Brookline Public Schools PTO. She also supports ALL’s community outreach efforts and is a vocal proponent for Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. She is involved in several professional organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors at the MSCPA, and taking an active role in women’s initiatives at the AICPA and MSCPA.
