Armstrong Watson expands Scottish presence

MSI's Northern UK accounting member Armstrong Watson has announced the opening of a new office in Edinburgh as part of its continued investment in Scotland and commitment to delivering outstanding client experience across the Central Belt.

The new Edinburgh office, in Spaces, Lochrin Square, builds on Armstrong Watson’s continued growth in Scotland and follows the acquisitions of Martin Aitken and Parkhill Mackie in Glasgow. The combined Glasgow team, led by Partner and former Managing Director of Martin Aitken Ewen Dyer, now operates as a single integrated practice, serving clients across Scotland and beyond.

Armstrong Watson supports a significant number of clients across the East of Scotland and in and around Edinburgh. By establishing a permanent presence in the capital, it will allow the firm to work even more closely with those clients while creating a strong platform for future growth throughout the region, offering a full spectrum of services: accounting, audit and assurance, tax, financial planning, corporate finance, and strategic business advice.

Paul Dickson, Chief Executive of Armstrong Watson, said: “The opening of our Edinburgh office is a natural next step for Armstrong Watson. We already have strong relationships with many clients across the East of Scotland, and this investment allows us to be closer to them, better understand their needs, and continue to deliver the high-quality, personal service we are known for.

“Following our acquisition of Martin Aitken, we now have a stronger and broader team in Scotland than ever before. Edinburgh gives us an excellent base to continue building a values-led accounting and financial advisory business, focused on long-term relationships, trusted advice and an exceptional client experience.”

Duncan MacCaig, Lead Partner in Edinburgh, added: “Opening an office in the capital is an exciting milestone and reinforces our long-term commitment to Scotland. The city has a vibrant business community and a diverse economy, and having a local presence strengthens our ability to support clients across the Central Belt with proactive, joined-up advice as their businesses and personal circumstances evolve.”

The Edinburgh office, Armstrong Watson’s third location in Scotland alongside Glasgow and Dumfries, is part of the firm’s broader strategy to grow sustainably, invest in its people, and expand its reach while staying true to its values and client-first approach. By expanding its footprint in Scotland, Armstrong Watson continues to reinforce its position as a trusted adviser to businesses and individuals, supporting ambition, growth and long-term success across the region.
