Armstrong Watson expands tax team with three strategic hires
Between them, Clare Lancaster, Jane Greenwood and David Rome bring 60 years of combined experience to the firm.
Clare has been appointed a Director in the Private Client Tax Team in Glasgow. Having previously worked for Dains, Azets and Big Four firms KPMG and Deloitte, she has more than 18 years’ experience supporting private clients and owner-managed businesses in areas such as Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, and succession planning.
Jane joins as a Tax Senior Manager in Northallerton, bringing more than 30 years’ experience spanning the full spectrum of private client tax matters. She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds the Advanced Diploma in international taxation.
Meanwhile, David, who joined Armstrong Watson from Johnstone Carmichael in Edinburgh, has been appointed as Tax Senior Manager in the Corporate Tax Team in Carlisle. A Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant with 10 years’ experience, David advises businesses on complex corporate tax matters, including corporate debt and restructuring.

These appointments follow a series of senior hires and promotions across Armstrong Watson’s tax service line.
