Celebrating the Justitia Awards 2025 and looking ahead to 2026

In this personal note, Lucie Schweizer of MSI's Slovakia legal member firm G. Lehnert sr.o. reflects on her role in the Justitia Awards 2025 Election Committee, which reviewed over 200 nominations to recognise women shaping justice globally, and encourages MSI members to submit nominations for the 2026 awards, opening in January.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve on the Election Committee of the Justitia Awards 2025. It has been an inspiring journey and a true privilege to represent our network in this process.

First and foremost, thank you to MSI Global Alliance for the trust placed in me, and to our colleagues Dr. Alix Frank-Thomasser and Prof. Franz Heidinger (Alix Frank Rechtsanwälte GmbH, Austria MSI Global member) for their tireless dedication. Your energy, vision, and ability to bring forward and amplify stories worth following are nothing short of remarkable.

This year’s nomination process was both demanding and deeply rewarding: more than 200 nominations from across five continents had to be carefully assessed, before shortlisting those whose impact and courage set them apart. The task was not an easy one, but it was a testament to the global reach and enduring relevance of the Awards.

The culmination was the awards ceremony in Vienna – an evening of extraordinary atmosphere and significance, held in the presence of Slovenia’s President Nataša Pirc Musar and Austria’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger. The setting, the people, and the stories created a truly unforgettable experience, one that underscored the value of giving voice to women shaping justice around the world.

I warmly encourage all MSI members to look through the official WIL Magazin 2025 [attached] and to consider submitting nominations when the 2026 Justitia Awards open in January 2026. Your nominations matter – they ensure that those who lead with courage, integrity, and vision receive the recognition they deserve.
