MSI's Sri Lankan law member John Wilson Partners is delighted to be celebrating the firm's 100th anniversary in 2020.
John Wilson Partners was founded in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1920 by the late Senator John Wilson. Senator Wilson was succeeded by his son, John Wilson Senior and in 1999 John Wilson Junior took over the role of Managing Partner. JWP is a full service law practice, providing service in the areas of Civil Litigation, Commercial Law, Notarial, Employment and Intellectual Property to large corporations, financial institutions and individuals.
The legal team at John Wilson Partners has a wealth of experience in private practice and in-house, both locally and internationally. With John Wilson at the helm for the past 20 years, the practice has grown and diversified. John recently became a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, after successfully completing one of CIArb’s Accelerated Route to Membership - International Arbitration programs. It is intended to expand the arbitration section of the practice’s Dispute Resolution Department in the near future.
We are very proud to say that the practice was recently awarded IFLR1000 2019/2020 “Recommended” status as well as the prestigious Asia IP 2019 Award for Trademark Law Firm of the Year.
