Lee Bolton Monier-Williams appoints new partner as private client team expands

MSI's London law member Lee Bolton Monier-Williams (LBMW) has recruited a new partner to join its Private Client Team. Catherine Pugsley joined the firm on 1 March 2021.

Catherine is a highly experienced private client lawyer who advises UK and international based private client families, estates and trustees on UK and international tax and succession issues and trust structures. Catherine originally qualified as a corporate lawyer with a top City firm before turning to private client law. She has lived in Italy for a number of years where she has run her own firm. This is a hire which significantly bolsters the Firm’s international offering particularly in the areas of  cross-border estate planning and probate between the civil and common law jurisdictions. Catherine has also advised on the cross-border repatriation of heritage property and regularly advises domiciled and non-domiciled clients on the tax implications on their arrival in to or departure from the UK and on the creation of corporate holding and trust structures for the preservation and protection of assets and the associated applicable tax planning. The LBMW Private Client Team is a growing and dynamic part of the firm and looks forward to working with other MSI members.
