Lester Aldridge partner shortlisted for three Resolution Awards
Estella Newbold Brown, Partner and Head of Family at Lester Aldridge, has been shortlisted for three national accolades at the Resolution Awards 2026.
Estella has been named a finalist in both the Resolution Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award and the Resolution Wellbeing Award. In addition, the Working Group for Pets on Divorce & Separation, which she co founded, has been shortlisted for the Resolution Working Together Award.
The Resolution Awards celebrate individuals and teams who demonstrate excellence, innovation and a commitment to Resolution's Code of Practice. This year's entries were of an exceptionally high standard, making Estella's triple shortlisting a significant achievement.
A highly regarded family law specialist, Estella advises on complex financial and children matters, including cases involving high net worth individuals, international assets and sensitive family circumstances. Alongside her legal practice, she is widely recognised for her commitment to promoting inclusive, supportive and sustainable ways of working within family law.
Estella is an active advocate for wellbeing, regularly sharing insights on managing stress and preserving balance in a demanding profession. She co hosts the Family Law Friends podcast, which provides a supportive space for legal professionals to discuss the emotional realities of practice and the importance of connection.
She is also a leading voice on equality, diversity and inclusion, working extensively with LGBTQ+ clients and championing representation across modern family structures. Through her public platforms, thought leadership and published children's books, Estella promotes greater visibility and awareness of diverse families both within and beyond the legal sector.
The Working Group for Pets on Divorce & Separation, co led by Estella and Sarah Lucy Cooper, brings together over 20 lawyers, barristers, vets and an animal behaviourist. It seeks to reform how pets are treated in divorce, advocating for their recognition as family members and clearer guidance for courts. The group has contributed to public debate and engaged with the House of Lords on this developing area of law.

The winners will be announced at the Resolution Awards ceremony on Thursday 24 September at Church House, Westminster.
