Hoffman is an accomplished litigator focused on complex business, commercial, and employment disputes. He represents clients across a wide range of industries including finance, real estate, healthcare, construction, and entertainment. He regularly litigates matters relating to commercial torts, unfair competition, business fraud, and trade secrets—a subject on which he has written extensively. Hoffman maintains a robust employment litigation practice, representing both employers and employees in disputes involving employment agreements, restrictive covenants, breach of fiduciary duties, wage-and-hour claims, and allegations of workplace discrimination. He was included on the 2025 edition of Lawdragon’s 500 X – The Next Generation list and has been named a New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2017. Hoffman has spent his entire career at Moses Singer.
McFarlane is a seasoned litigator focused on high-stakes commercial disputes. He represents business clients across a broad spectrum of industries in federal court, state court, arbitration, and mediation. His work spans contract disputes, ownership and partnership disputes, banking disputes, torts, and RICO matters. He also helps businesses and individuals respond to investigations at the federal, state, and agency levels, all with an eye to minimizing risks and maximizing returns. He has been recognized as a New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2016 and has been named to The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch guide every year since the list’s inception in 2020.
Hoffman graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was an Alexander Fellow and clerked for the Honorable Colleen McMahon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Honorable Bernice D. Siegal of the New York State Supreme Court. McFarlane graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School. Before becoming a lawyer, he spent many formative years in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
