MSI Global Alliance reports excellent performance in 2020

MSI Global Alliance (MSI), one of the world’s leading international associations of independent accounting and legal firms, has announced that its combined revenue has grown to US$1.56 billion.

The growth in the accounting firms of the alliance is particularly impressive with turnover up 9.2% despite challenging operational issues posed by the pandemic. During 2020 the headcount of MSI member firms went up 10% to 8,541. The Americas is MSI’s largest region by revenue accounting for 50.4% followed by the EMEA, which accounts for 40.6% and Asia Pacific contributing 9.0%. Commenting on MSI’s strong performance, CEO Tim Wilson said: “Despite the challenges posed by 2020, MSI has continued its growth. This growth is derived from the calibre and strength of our membership and their hard work with clients during a difficult year.  But is also due to our continued efforts to recruit high quality member firms; we welcomed 9 new members to our association last year and we will shortly announce further new members for 2021.” Summing up the sustained appeal of MSI, Tim Wilson added: “We have a clear sense of purpose and a strong vision built on collaborative working across jurisdictions. In 2020, we transitioned well to virtual working and this has really strengthened the bonds between members. 2021 will no doubt bring further challenges, but we are well placed to continue to support our members and their businesses.”
