MSI's Zurich based member firms "Badertscher Attorneys at Law" and CAMINADA Zurich (Tax, Audit) supported MSI's Israel member firm Weksler, Bregman & Co. Advocates during an M&A transaction of an US based firm, regarding an acquisition of a Swiss based target. Badertscher Attorneys at Law’s scope of work consisted of performing the legal due diligence and advising on the SPA and employment matters, whereas CAMINADA Zurich focused on the financial and tax due diligence. Together with the lead of Weksler, Bregman & Co. Advocates all three member firms advised the US client during the whole process of the M&A transaction.MSI's London law member Lee Bolton Monier-Willams (LBMW) recently assisted MSI's Rio de Janeiro law member Vieira Coelho with part of a large international M&A transaction. The transaction revolved around the sale of a company operating gas pipelines in Brazil and Bolivia. As the agreements were governed by UK law, Ed Henderson (LBMW) advised on aspects of the documentation in conjunction with Ana Gabriela Kurtz (Vieira Coelho). The transaction was a success and the two MSI firms are collaborating further on other matters.
Together with several MSI member firms, MSI's Monterrey law member Perez Góngora y Asociados assisted one of its clients, one of the world’s largest video games companies based in Canada, with the multi-national review of the firm's current tax situation. The large successful project involved a number of MSI member firms which provided the client with an overview of the company's tax status in its many jurisdictions.
