Voices of MSI | Christina Fahle: "It's the human connection and intellectual challenge that I love"
For Christina Fahle, what makes her work meaningful is the close connection she builds with the people she supports.
“What inspires me most is working closely with people, both colleagues and clients. I have the privilege of working with foreign companies and individuals who are coming to a new country and must navigate an entirely different set of rules, regulations, and customs. Being that close to a client, truly getting to know them and understanding their situation, is incredibly rewarding.
Add to that the fact that I work in a field that is constantly evolving, and no day is ever the same. That combination, the human connection and the intellectual challenge, is what makes me love what I do.”
In 2025, Christina saw the resolution of several long-running cases against the Norwegian Tax Authority, matters she had worked on since 2016.
“Throughout 2025, the Tax Appeals Board resolved these cases in our clients' favour. Looking back, what stands out to me is not simply the outcome itself. It is everything that surrounds it. The process of supporting a client through prolonged uncertainty, navigating areas of law where the legal framework and case law are themselves unsettled, and ultimately seeing that you can make a genuine difference.”
For her clients, these were not abstract disputes but deeply personal and stressful situations. Securing favourable decisions after years of uncertainty was not only professionally significant, but also meaningful in contributing to the development of the law in this area.
Her advice to other women in the legal profession is both clear and empowering:
“Do not sell yourself short. In law, confidence grows with experience, and your unique way of seeing things is an asset. Specialize in what drives you, surround yourself with good mentors, and build your network. There is an important place for you in this profession.”
As a member of MSI Global Alliance, Christina values the strength that comes from being part of a global professional community.
“Being part of MSI Global Alliance means being connected to a global community of talented, dedicated professionals across borders and cultures. On International Women’s Day 2026, it means a great deal to know that we in this network lift each other up: sharing knowledge, opening doors, and inspiring the next generation of women in law. It is a community I am genuinely proud to be part of.”
At MSI, we believe that when expertise is combined with empathy and perseverance, it creates lasting impact.
This International Women’s Day 2026, we are proud to celebrate Christina and the many women across our alliance who are advancing the law, supporting their clients through complexity, and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
